MIA

Wow! I'm actually on the puter again! I have not had access to the interne for the last 3-4 weeks. I miss it so much! This link to the outside world is very needful. I wish I could post some pictures, as we have had a lot going on lately. We've had snow (3 inches), and of course Easter weekend. The kids had a blast hunting eggs and are still wanting to hunt them. We have fun playing with them outside.
We have been living with John's grandparents in Homer for the last 4 weeks or so. Words cannot express how ready I am to have my own home again. To have dresser drawers and closets instead of suitcases, and my own kitchen, my own refrigerator, my own bathroom, my own privacy and space. I am going back to Alabama tomorrow (Wednesday) and stay w/ my Mom for a few more weeks. HOPEFULLY, by the time I return we will have landed somewhere. We are getting closer to that goal since John was hired at a company in Shreveport this week! Yeaah!!! We have picked out a mobile home, and now have only to find land to put it on.
The kids seem to be adjusting to this nomadic life quite well. Elijah is still not fully potty-trained, but is doing great considering the circumstances. We have good days and bad days. He is the sweetest thing, very generous with his hugs and kisses and smiles. He is displaying quite an interest in nature, bringing me all sorts of different rocks and leaves and flowers when we are outside. I wish I could keep every one of them as momentums of these passing all-too-quickly days. He still loves to play the drums, and since seeing Bro. Brent Marquee play the saxophone a couple fo weeks ago, he pretend-plays it as well. I am so glad he has such an interest in music!
Gracie, she is something else! Call her a hoot, a mess, a drama queen, it all fits! She made her singing debut Sunday night at church. She sang "Jesus Loves Me" in the mic, but decided to talk in the mic about halfway through, instead of sing :). She rode a horsey for the first time on Sunday, and had every one rolling when she waved and said "Yee-haa!" as she rode by (without being prompted to do so).
Our circumstances right now are probably the hardest of our entire marriage, but I am glad to say that our marriage is stronger than it has ever been. John and I seem to have a bond and an enjoyment of each other more than we'v ever had. I thank God that even though we go through trials, we can go through them with our head up, our chin high, our back straight, and have a smile on our face. That's what makes us different from the world, is that Christ in us is bigger than our problems.

Read At Your Own Risk

Ahhhh....to sit down and blog (to vent, to pour forth one's soul in the form of the written word, to inform, to share, to inspire). Just in case you are wondering, I did not consult Webster's dictionary for that definition. About this blog...by my own doing, there are more people viewing my random ramblings than there used to be. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel this may limit the scope of topics and issues that I may voice my opinion about, may reduce the amount of ravings and rantings that I expose cyberspace to. Should I just go ahead and blog about things as I always have, or should I be more guarded about the degree of openness I employ? (ok, I'm starting to sound like my English Lit majoring brother).I pray for the utmost wisdom as I proceed, but I feel I must warn you: read at your own risk :).

I apologize for the lack of structure in my writings. I always got a low grade on my English papers when it came to that element. So deal with it :). Just pay close attention and my subject-hopping will make sense.

First of all, I feel that a good "brag time" about my children is way overdue. Here goes:
Elijah:

• He has the cutest, flirtiest, most michevious grin this side of the Mason-Dixon Line. It melts my heart like butter (and anyone else he flashes it to).
• He combines that smile with a husky, "Gimmee hug" and "Gimmee sugars" and I am a sure goner!
• He is a musician in the making--sleeping with his drumsticks and playing the guitar constantly.
• He is making major progress with pottying.
• He loves his little sister passionately, and displays his love with many hugs and kisses, although his affections are often not readily accepted or returned.
• He minds really well and seeks to please (although he does have his moments like any other child).

Grace:

• Where Elijah is shy, she never meets a stranger. She loves attention and will "show out" if she thinks you will give her the opportunity :).
• She loves to sing and dance.
• She is very smart, very good at communicating her feelings.
• She is a little stingy with her loving, but when she does give it, she gives it with gusto!
• She is the cutest thing ever with her hair in pigtails and her blue jean skirt on.

I AM BLESSED!

Since I have already been so lengthy, I think I will save the rest of the stuff on my mind for a later date. It's good to be back!

Update

Hey, y'all! I finally got a chance to sit down and blog a little, without three little munchkins crowding my lap and hogging the keyboard :) yes, munchkin #3 is beginning to make her presence known abdominally, if you know what I mean. My doctor's appointment last week revealed that I am only 12 weeks and 3 days gestation. I thought I was soo much further along than that. There's where poor documentation will get you. They did an ultrasound, and this little booger is active with a capital A! It was bouncing off the walls and its arms and legs were just a-gettin' it (can you tell I've been in Bama?). Then all of a sudden it threw its arms back and fell asleep and would NOT wake back up no matter what we did! So we couldn't really tell if it was a boy or a girl. But it was precious, either way. There's something about seeing it there on the screen that makes it so real and just makes me give a sigh of relief. I will go back in two weeks because Dr. McKeiver wants to keep a close eye on me with all the cramping and stuff that has been going on. Did I mention that I miss my husband painfully? And it's only been a week. We have been discussing going somewhere for a weekend when he gets back, just the two of us. Any suggestions, anyone? Please pray for us, my Dad has the flu! He has quarantined himself off in his room, and we are hoping and praying it stays back there with him! To all of my Texas people, I miss y'all!!! BIG SNIFF! Hope y'all are missing me too and keeping an eye out for my husband ;0).
