We are representation of Christ. Although, you are right we need to be balanced. Not caught up in fashion, modesty materialism and such. What is modesty materialism?

To me it is when I see some wonderful modest sisters but I mean they are decked head to toe. Their children are as well. They draw attention to themselves. Which to me really is another form of vain worldliness.

I am not saying you can't wear cute in style clothes. For I sure do and my children do to. But you don't have to stand out.

I have went to churches that preached holiness standards (which I 100% believe in and follow) but felt very underdressed. I would have a very nice skirt, shirt, and purse, and shoes, and up do. But some would have tons of sequins and feathers and a whole get up.

I don't know. anyways, like this post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1461645442436881093.post-41267659685360711502010-04-01T21:22:14.840-07:002010-04-01T21:22:14.840-07:00Sorry, I didn't catch that the first time. :/ ...Sorry, I didn't catch that the first time. :/ I need to learn to slow down and read instead of hurrying like I do everything else! Thanks for expounding on that point :).MameyJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14950102099270997522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1461645442436881093.post-70344608504316675672010-03-31T16:10:04.782-07:002010-03-31T16:10:04.782-07:00Something else I found regarding this verse: The t...Something else I found regarding this verse: The term "clothed with scarlet" also has a spiritual application, as the scarlet wool used by Moses in the Old Testament is spoken of in the New Testament, in relation to the blood that Jesus shed for the remission of sins for all people. Therefore, when we are "clothed with scarlet," we are covered by the blood of Jesus, meaning we are saved by the shedding of His blood on the cross. This, then, would mean that the virtuous woman saw to it that all of her household was saved by faith in the blood of Jesus. Covered by the blood of Jesus, we will not fear any cold and dark night of trial. He will see us through it.

We would much rather our kids be clothed in Christ's blood than the latest fashions. Neat? yeah. Sylish/cutest? No. I've not had much trouble with wanting my kids to look the cutest, etc., but I've had trouble with plenty more things! :/
Good post!Natural Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10681703953590414842noreply@blogger.com
